Julian Assange is currently incarcerated at Belmarsh high-security prison in London, since the US submitted a request to the UK to extradite him. For his journalistic work, Assange is charged in the US with 17 Espionage Act offenses, and 1 count of conspiracy to commit computer crime, totaling a possible 175 years prison sentence.
