Biography

Prior to his February 2017 appointment by Donald Trump to the role of U.S. Assistant Attorney, Traxler was an associate with the law firm Kellogg, Hansen, Todd, Figel & Frederick, along with Nicholas O. Hunter. Prior to this he was a law clerk.

Personal life

Thomas Wooten Traxler, Jr. was born to Thomas, Sr. and Elizabeth Traxler in 1984 in Greenville, S.C. He married Rachel Bright on 6 August 2016, and currently resides in northeast D.C.

Traxler's sister, Brannon, was recently appointed interim Public Health Director for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC). His father is also an attorney in South Carolina.

Traxler participated in a 5K in Lynchburg, Virginia, and has donated to St. John's Church at Lafayette Square, Washington, D.C.
